Prizegiving Evening 2026
Our annual Prizegiving Evening 2026 was a wonderful celebration of the talent, determination and character ofstudents across Chadwell Heath Academy. The evening reflected the breadth of school life, recognising not only outstanding academic and examination achievement, but also effort and progress, creativity, sport, music, leadership, personal development and service to our community.
We were delighted to welcome former student Gemma Gurvitz as our special guest. After attending Chadwell Heath Academy from 1998 to 2004, Gemma went on to become Managing Director of Talent Talks, one of the UK's leading casting agencies, which represents more than 15,000 performers and has worked with organisations including Netflix, the BBC, Disney, Nike and FIFA. Her return to the Academy was particularly special, and she presented the evening's prizes as we celebrated the achievements of the next generation of Chadwell Heath students.
Romy Sudra and Alexandra Upchurch brilliantly performed ‘For Good’ from Wicked, providing a fitting musical interlude to the celebrations.
Perhaps most importantly, the evening demonstrated what achievement means at Chadwell Heath Academy. Awards recognised students for attainment, but equally celebrated effort, improvement, resilience, creativity, sporting achievement, leadership, kindness and contribution to the wider school community. Subject prizes spanned areas including Business, Creative Studies, Drama, English, Humanities, Computing, Mathematics, Media, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, PE, Psychology and Science, alongside awards for academic and examination excellence.
Senior student Lonti Azemi concluded the evening with a fantastic speech.
This breadth of recognition is something of which we are particularly proud. Prizegiving celebrated students at different stages of their school journey and for many different forms of success, reinforcing our belief that achievement should be recognised in all its forms and that every young person should have the opportunity to flourish.
