Internal applicants

We welcome applications from all current Year 11s, and all our own students have a place with us dependent on achieving the grades as set out in the prospectus. During their time in Year 11 they will have access to a range of talks and assemblies about subject choices, Russell Group universities, vocational routes, apprenticeships, applications and sixth form life.
We hold a recruitment evening for our own students in October each year. We feel it is important they get direct access to Sixth Form staff to research our offer. This year it is on Thursday 8th October 2026. On the evening, they will receive a prospectus and details of how to apply.
The application deadline is Friday 29th January for internal students.
In November and December all internal applicants will attend a careers and course placement meeting to discuss their options and pick induction choices.
Induction runs from Tuesday 23rd June to Friday 26th June and is an amazing opportunity to sample sixth form life and lessons. As such, we ask that you do not book holidays during this time.
On results day, Thursday 19th August 2026, we will run support surgeries for students who want to change their options or have not met the entry criteria to get them onto a viable path either here or at college. Students will need to enrol in school from 10am onwards on results day.
In addition to this structured support, students should spend their time completing the bridging activities for the subjects that they plan to study, looking on the UCAS and apprenticeship websites to find out about Level 3 qualification requirements and researching potential careers. This is an exciting time, and we look forward to supporting you with this next step.
