Welcome to the Sixth Form

We are a popular, oversubscribed, comprehensive sixth form, judged to be good by OFSTED. We offer a wide combination of courses tailored to suit your needs. These include A level, BTEC, CTEC and GCSE.

As part of our comprehensive ethos we have entry criteria that are lower than many other schools. This inclusive approach means that our points score may appear to look weaker than other institutions. However this is not the case: our progress and attainment figures for individual students, when measured against their starting points, are consistently excellent. In addition we regularly produce higher numbers of top grades than national figures suggest we should.

We are very proud of our retention figures as a measure of student satisfaction: 90% of year 11 stay on to year 12, and our retention rate at ‘A’ level is 98% compared to the national figure of 96%.

Our outstanding grades are the result of the expertise of our teaching staff, supported by regular reporting to parents, and the quality of our support and mentoring for students. All sixth formers have supervised study periods ensuring access to a focused, quiet working environment.

The most important measure of the quality of our provision is indicated by the diverse range of courses and universities that students from Chadwell Heath access. In 2023 91% of our ‘A’ level cohort went on to study at University and 9% went on to employment or gap years. Courses taken include Medicine at Loughborough, Economics at LSE and Architecture at Cambridge.

Degree Apprenticeship students gained equally impressive places at EY, BBC and Dyson. Students who attend our sixth form are well prepared to face the demands of a competitive future.

We run a very strong UCAS application support programme having forged links with universities such as Cambridge, LSE, Queen Mary and East Anglia. Activities include an extensive range of extra-curricular events designed to enhance student applications.
