After just four months of being in the Chadwell Heath Sixth Form I have already taken part in a whole host of brilliant opportunities for example: I attended an organised trip to Cambridge University Peterhouse College where I had a tour of the college, dined in the great hall and found out all about the application process to Oxbridge. In addition, I have campaigned for and been elected as Senior Student which I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do if I had changed sixth forms. I’ve also developed my cultural capital with a whole sixth form cultural trip to London experiencing a host of activities. Chadwell Heath offers a great environment for study as the network of teachers and students are always so supportive and really want to see you excel at your level and subjects.”
Being an external student I always felt welcome and part of the sixth form. Taking part in the four day induction in June allowed me to choose the right subjects and get to know people within my year which helped me when I joined in September as I already had some friends that I had got to know in the four days.
The main reason I enrolled at Chadwell Heath Academy Sixth Form is because it is a highly successful institution which has allowed me to further my interests, both academic as well as extra-curricular, with the additional advantage of working with the staff that have helped develop the foundations of my education. This input has meant I have achieved feats that simply could not be possible without their support. From working with the sixth form committee to becoming head boy, the opportunities available for me to develop myself holistically have been ample. The work environment is one that is both productive as well as supportive. It because of this support, as well as the quality of teaching and resources that I have achieved the grades I needed for university.
