Isra Awan wins Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge

Year 10 pupil, Isra Awan, has won the Redbridge Regional Final of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge. You can view Isra's winning speech in the video below. We are all incredibly proud of her achievement.

Each year over 19,000 students across London and Essex take part in Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! the world’s largest public speaking competition. There are 37 different Regional Champions and these speakers these are among the top 0.2% of young speakers in London and Essex. 

Isra’s public speaking performance on 22nd March 2019 was voted on by an independent judging panel comprising of: Alex Gordon, Speaking Coach, Master Your Message; Dwayne Serwaa, Runner-up, Redbridge Regional Final 2018; Emma Gibbons, Communications and PR Coordinator, Jack Petchey Foundation; Mike Gapes, Member of Parliament for Ilford South; Maureen Egbe, Senior Trainer and Confidence Coach; Lisa Butterfield, Chief Inspector, Neighbourhoods and Partnership, London Metropolitan Police; Ruth Pearson, Author, Coach, creator Listening To Your Voice Ltd.
